Commercial Excellence Manager
This role assumes a leadership position within the Commercial team, providing strategic commercial and contract management expertise. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with purpose, vision, and mission, and actively contribute to the execution of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop the ongoing development of the team and staff involved in commercial and contract management activities to enhance commercial acumen.
2. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract and commercial procurement management policies and procedures.
3. Assess compliance with Commercial policies and procedures, and develop strategies to address ongoing commercial and contract excellence governance.
4. Drive the reduction of external spend and internal costs through improved commercial practices and strategic sourcing, including supplier category management.
5. Supervise and oversee the bids and proposals process, supporting/coaching the team as required.
6. Manage ongoing measurement of performance tracking of Commercial, including KPIs and cost-savings achieved.
7. Advise and provide expertise and strategic support on Commercial-related matters.
8. Lead commercial negotiations of contracts and property leases, including the coordination and finalization of relevant terms and conditions.
Requirements:
* Formal qualifications in Commerce or Business or related discipline is mandatory.
* Excellent commercial business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
* Extensive experience in a leadership position in a similar role.
* High level of influencing, problem solving, and relationship management skills.
* Strong understanding of contract and commercial law, commercial contracts, property leases, and risk management.
