Overview
We are looking for experienced Chefs & Cooks to join our client with operations based out of Hobart, and St Helens Tasmania. The positions are full time with a yearly salary of $60-$80K depending on position & experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible
- Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guide lines
- Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service
- Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met
- Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the brigade
Qualifications
- At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)
- Appropriate trade qualifications
- Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues
- Guest orientated and passionate about food
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices
- The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, relatively valuable English communication skills
- Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team
