About the team: The Senior Product Manager for cash equities clearing and settlement is responsible for the ongoing management, enhancement, and performance of the CHESS platform. This includes end-to-end responsibility for business and technical maintenance, continuous improvement, and ensuring the product’s ongoing alignment with regulatory, market, and customer needs. The Senior Product Manager develops and executes roadmaps and plans that support the product’s operational excellence and strategic objectives, ensuring value and viability for ASX and its stakeholders. The Senior Product Manager is part of the Equities Product team within Securities & Payments, whose primary purpose is to ensure the ongoing effectiveness, compliance, and competitiveness of clearing and settlement services as part of ASX’s core market infrastructure. What you will be doing: How we do things at ASX is just as important as what we do. This means, if you're a people leader, you will be responsible for both the core duties outlined below, and providing leadership to your team to ensure we foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment, where people feel empowered, accountable, and deeply connected (as outlined in our Leadership Principles). Provide strategic leadership and direction to identify opportunities to enhance clearing and settlement products and services, delivering timely, customer-driven outcomes. Develop, maintain, and execute the product roadmap and plans for CHESS, balancing enhancement initiatives with BAU maintenance and regulatory requirements. Oversee and manage the ongoing business and technical maintenance of the CHESS platform, ensuring operational stability, compliance, and risk management. Develop business cases and manage funding and budget requirements for clearing and settlement initiatives, as required. Provide leadership to product owners, product managers and business analysts to ensure clearing and settlement service enhancements are delivered. Collaborate with business and delivery to define success criteria, track performance, and deliver ongoing enhancements. Engage with customers and stakeholders to manage opportunities, issues, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and accountability. What you will bring: Must have 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner/Manager or related discipline in a complex environment. Proven success in developing business cases and product roadmaps for financial services or market infrastructure products. Experience planning and implementing go-to-market approaches for new features and engaging relevant business stakeholders. Demonstrated commercial mindset with a customer-focused approach. Experience managing operational products in a regulated environment. Nice to have Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Familiarity with ASX customers, products, and services.
