Elevate is seeking experienced
Commercial Construction Contracts Lawyers
with
4+ years' PQE
to join our growing legal services team. These roles are fully remote within Australia and open only to lawyers currently based in Australia with proven experience in construction contracts.
This is an opportunity to work closely with leading in-house legal teams, providing practical, commercially focused advice on construction and infrastructure matters while supporting initiatives that improve contracting efficiency and legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial construction and infrastructure contracts.
* Advise on contractual risk and propose pragmatic, commercially acceptable alternatives.
* Support and lead contract negotiations with internal stakeholders and counterparties.
* Escalate and assist in resolving contractual issues and deviations.
* Develop and update templates, negotiation playbooks, and contract tools.
* Capture contract data and contribute to reporting and knowledge management.
* Participate in client projects to improve contracting workflows, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
* Prepare reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
About You:
* 4+ years' PQE
, including
at least 3 years' experience
drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial construction contracts.
* Strong experience with construction and infrastructure agreements is essential.
* Proven legal research and advisory drafting skills.
* Demonstrated experience supporting in-house teams or clients in fast-paced environments.
* Commercial, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
* Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM), workflow, or document management tools.
* Comfortable adopting legal technology to drive efficiency and consistency.

* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent.
* Admitted to practice and legally entitled to work in Australia.
* Must be currently based in Australia.
