The Fleet Operations Manager role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing vehicle operations and maintenance to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics with increasing levels of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction and guidance to transportation personnel to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
* Develop and implement policies that enhance operational readiness and minimize downtime.
* Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making informed decisions to drive continuous enhancement.
This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise in fleet operations, maintenance scheduling, or personnel management. The successful candidate will be able to develop strategic plans for fleet operations, including asset management, route optimization, and budget management.
Requirements
* A minimum of five years of fleet management experience, transportation, or logistics roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
* Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading a team, including overseeing personnel and operational management.
* Fleet Management Certification: Certifications such as Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Fleet Management Operation (CFMO) are highly beneficial.
* Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent: While not required, having a CDL can be beneficial for better understanding of the operational aspects of fleet management.
* HAZMAT Endorsement
* Operational and Strategic Planning Skills: Ability to develop strategic plans for fleet operations.
* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data related to fleet operations.
