We are seeking suitable applications for a highly capable and values-driven nursing professional to join our dynamic Surgical Services team for Wards G53 (Orthopaedic Surgery) and G66 (Neurosurgery/Spinal) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).
This is a Permanent Full Time appointment.
What is our Nurse Manager - Surgical Services role?
This position practises as a Senior Registered Nurse (SRN) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. The position provides leadership and management within the organisation, clinical division and area(s) of responsibility; and upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.

Area Profile
SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
