We are seeking skilled and experienced AV installation technicians to support our upcoming project work.
This is a great opportunity - as an experienced AV Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard, while maintaining quality standards and practices, safe work practices, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day tasks of project work to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard.
* Ensure that work is carried out with safe work practices and maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction.
* Install professional AV equipment, set out installation works according to specification and instruction, and set out, cut, and install cables such as conduit, cable tray, ducting, and wire systems.
* Rack wiring, termination, monitoring, testing, and labelling, as well as reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, panel drawings, and rack layouts.
* Record and maintain relevant documentation pertaining to commissioning, line test and commission cabling systems, including field and inter-rack cabling.
* Travel to regional and remote client sites when required, provide on-site training and mentoring, and observe WH&S standards ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner.
* Maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction, as well as completing unskilled tasks such as deliveries, cleaning, rubbish removal, and running errands as directed by supervisors.
* Oversee small groups of staff and projects with minimal supervision, provide solutions on ICT & AV equipment problems, and assist the commissioning team with the testing and commissioning of AV systems.
* Liaise with clients regarding the progress of projects by working closely and communicating effectively with other trades on site, such as electricians and builders, on a day-to-day basis.
* Perform other duties as required.
Ideal Candidate profile
* Minimum 3+ years of experience within AV
* Trade qualification in electronics, communications or audio visual or demonstrated industry equivalent.
* Holds a current open cable licence is desirable
* Current First Aid qualified or willing to obtain qualification
* Current valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle
* Australian Citizenship to be able to access Secure Agency material.
