We are in an immediate period of growth and are seeking passionate and experienced Disability Support Workers, or those willing to undertake a course with us, to provide in-home, individualised daily supports to adults in our community who are living with a disability. To be successful you will have a passion for supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals by enhancing the quality of their lives.
The role will encompass providing our clients with support in personal care, domestic assistance and support in the community and will require availability & flexibility across a 7-day roster in the Adelaide metropolitan regions.
**The following supports include but are not limited to**:
- Personal care (grooming, toileting etc.) 
- Medication support 
- Transport to appointments, recreational activities, and other events 
- Life skill development 
- Specialist support employment 
- Assistance with household tasks (cooking, cleaning etc.) 
- Participation in social, sporting, community, and other activities 
- Group & Centre based activities
**About You** 
- The successful applicants will be able to clearly demonstrate the following attributes:
- Be proactive in the ability to work successfully both autonomously and in a team environment. 
- Experience in working with Clients who require Manual Handling. 
- A willingness to work with participants and their families to support participant goals. 
- Passion, professionalism, empathy, and integrity at all times. 
- Basic ability in learning and navigating current software systems. 
- Experience in following care plans - desirable but not essential. 
- Sound & effective problem solving & communication skills and the ability to understand and deal with challenging behaviours. 
- Experience in or willing to learn meal planning, preparation, and cooking with Clients.
**Mandatory Requirements** 
- Current unrestricted driver's license 
- 3 COVID-19 vaccinations or valid medical exemption 
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certificates 
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check 
- Minimum certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent or willingness to undertake
