We’re a small, local fencing and retaining wall business based in Melbourne’s outer east, looking for a reliable casual fencing labourer to help keep up with a strong workload.
This role suits someone who’s practical, switched on, and happy working outdoors. You’ll be working directly with the owner on residential fencing and retaining wall jobs, no big crews, no site hopping all over Melbourne.
What you’ll be doing
* Assisting with timber, Colorbond and retaining wall installs
* Digging holes, setting posts, handling materials
* Using basic hand and power tools
* Keeping job sites tidy and moving efficiently
What we’re looking for
* Driver’s licence and own reliable car (non-negotiable)
* Lives reasonably close to the outer eastern suburbs
* Physically fit and happy with hands-on work
* Reliable, punctual, and easy to work with
* Fencing or construction experience preferred, but attitude matters most
Pay & conditions
* $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and attitude
* Casual role with regular hours available
* Local work – no long commutes
* Typically 3–4 days per week, with consistent local work
* Opportunity for more responsibility for the right person
