The role of Head of Special Education Services is pivotal in championing an inclusive culture and driving strong educational outcomes for students with disability. As a key member of the Department of Education, you will be responsible for implementing effective practices and managing the delivery of high-quality advice and support.
This position requires a leader who can coordinate the delivery of services, manage programs, and provide expert advice to teachers and school staff. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes and drive positive change within the education system.
As Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include:
1. Intensive Targeted Teaching
Coordinate and deliver targeted teaching programs for students requiring intervention.
1. Strategy Development and Implementation
Develop, plan, and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes and drive positive change within the education system.
* Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
* Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
