Perform Construction Group is a growing construction and labour hire company operating across Western Australia, delivering high-quality civil, commercial and workforce solutions to a range of clients.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This position will play an important role in supporting the financial operations of the business and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across multiple business divisions.
About the Role
Reporting directly to management, the Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting and compliance requirements for the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts
* Maintaining general ledger accounts and completing reconciliations
* Monitoring project costs, company expenditure and financial performance
* Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
* Assisting with payroll reconciliation and reporting
* Preparation and lodgement support for BAS, PAYG and other statutory obligations
* Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes
* Analysing financial data and providing reporting support to management
* Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
* Liaising with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related qualification
* Minimum 2 years' relevant accounting experienceli>
* Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and taxation requirements
* Previous experience within construction, civil or labour hire industries highly regarded
* Experience using accounting software such as Xero, or similar systems
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
