About the Role
We're seeking a strategic and commercially astute Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and deliver end‑to‑end value across our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage all categories of goods and services, elevate supplier performance, and lead a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement.
This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to influence procurement strategy, modernise processes, and deliver tangible commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational, manufacturing and strategic objectives
* Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, equipment, consumables and services
* Lead contract negotiation and manage service level agreements to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
* Monitor and analyse supplier performance, identifying risks, improvements and cost‑saving opportunities
* Implement procurement systems, processes and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy
* Collaborate with production, inventory, logistics and quality teams to ensure seamless supply chain support
* Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team to build best‑practice capability
* Manage import/export activities and coordinate logistics as required
* Oversee procurement reporting, ensuring accuracy, insight and transparency
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks and legislative requirements
About You
You are a confident leader with a sharp commercial mindset and a drive for procurement excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related field
* 5+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within manufacturing
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing procurement strategies to support operational and financial objectives
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Proficient in the use of procurement systems and data analysis tools
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
