Central Queensland Radiology (CQR) is part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX group), a leading provider of quality diagnostic imaging services through its highly skilled medical professionals and investment in its technology platforms. CQR currently operates 8 quality assured practices across Central Queensland, including Gladstone, Rockhampton, and the coast of Yeppoon to Emerald. We have close ties to our sister company, Sunshine Coast Radiology, who have sites in private practice and hospitals across the Sunshine Coast.
ABOUT THE ROLE
CQR has the opportunity for a motivated Medical Receptionist to join our busy front desk in Rockhampton. Based at both Hillcrest Hospital and QTV House, you will deliver outstanding customer service for patients wishing to book and attend appointments at our Central Queensland fully comprehensive practices that include X-ray, Ultrasound to MRI services.
Please note, this position will be mostly based at our QTV House site, rostered between 6.30am-6pm while also working at least one day at our Hillcrest Hospital site.
WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE
1. First impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
2. Cash handling and patient account processing to include Medicare and Health funds.
3. Attend staff meetings and participate in company training sessions.
4. Comply with procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position and the Radiology Department, such as workplace health and safety, and other HR policies.
5. Liaise with referrers, doctors, and patients for delivery of patient medical results.
ABOUT YOU
1. Medical, Dental, Allied Health Care, Hospital or Radiology, Medical Imaging experience in front desk highly regarded.
2. Aptitude for understanding medical terminology.
3. Bookings system knowledge and strong computer skills.
4. Excellent presentation, a high level of communication and patient care skills - be welcoming and friendly!
5. Integrity, respect, and professionalism.
