Taurus is a privately owned and operated specialist mining supplier with variousclients around Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator for an URGENT START on a 7/7 roster, rotating days and nights.
At this stage it is only a 3month role as it is based on projects but has potential to be ongoing for the right person.
You will be based in the wet plant at a quarry. You will be required to safely and effectively operate a Loader (loading sand into hoppers, clean up etc) and assist with minor maintenance and labouring work.
This position is based in Mount Compass and would suit people living in the southern suburbs of Adelaide (Noarlunga/Hallett Cove) or Victor Harbour & surrounds.
Due to fatigue management we cannot consider anyone who has to travel more than 45 mins each way to site.
About the Role
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;
* LL Loader Ticket preferred or similar.
* Experience operating loaders - loading trucks, filling hoppers and clean up.
* A background on a mine site or quarry is preferred but if you have civil experience then you are encouraged to apply.
* Working at Height and Confined Space Tickets regarded but not essential.
* Current drivers licence and own transport.
* A commitment to your own safety and those who work with you.
* Successful candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
What's in it for you?
You will be employed on a casual basis for approx 3-4 months however could extend for the right person.
These roles are on a 24 hour rotating roster.
7 x 12 hr shifts on Days (7 off) and 7 x 12 hour Nights (7 off) are required on a rotating basis.
Excellent hourly pay rates with full penalty rates on offer.
