Purpose
The purpose of the Setter/Operator is to set production parts to the robot welder and ensure operations are completed to quality standards with minimal direction and supervision from the Supervisor or Team Leader.
Key Accountabilities
Sets up welding robots to weld aluminum and steel as per drawing.
Modifying welding programs and welding settings according to material thickness and type of material (steel, stainless steel and aluminum).
Programming welding robot for new parts using touch sensing to sense positions of sockets.
Complete jobs on-time and to the required quality standards with limited supervision.
Assisting maintenance personnel with any information required to ensure the robots are maintained in good operational condition.
Work in accordance with Process Control Plans.
Have the ability to accurately measure parts and interpret engineering drawings.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate 2 in Production or Engineering.
5+ years in a manufacturing business.
Experience in programming Robots.
