Full Job Description
Our client is proudly Australia's leading steel manufacturing and distribution company. They are currently seeking Belt Pickers to work along their conveyor systems, helping sort and process materials with precision and care. This is a great opportunity for reliable workers looking to grow within a stable industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Stand along a moving conveyor belt and manually pick, sort, or remove materials based on type or quality
* Identify and remove contaminated or non-conforming items
* Ensure proper sorting to meet production or recycling standards
* Maintain a clean and safe work area
* Report mechanical or material issues to supervisors as needed
Requirements
* Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
* Strong attention to detail and quick reflexes
* Comfortable working in environments that may be dusty, noisy, or involve repetitive tasks
* Previous experience in a similar role (manufacturing, recycling, mining) is a plus
* Must be dependable, safety-conscientious, and team-oriented
* Pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
* It is essential you have your current driving licence and reliable transport.
