Job Opportunity
Safeguarding public infrastructure assets and promoting community safety is at the core of this role as an Asset Protection Officer.
Main Responsibilities
* Implement measures to prevent damage to public infrastructure and foster a culture of public safety at building sites.
* Develop, maintain, and optimize the City's Asset Protection System for security bonds, road openings, and related activities.
* Evaluate applications for vehicle crossing modifications and provide detailed quotes for repair, restoration, and rectification works.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Post-trade certificate or post-secondary qualification with relevant on-the-job training.
* Prior experience in contract supervision relating to road maintenance and construction is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with relevant Council policies, laws, and guidelines is essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
* A proven commitment to delivering quality customer service and conflict resolution.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required.
* A valid Victorian Driver's Licence is mandatory.
