About the role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our ISO 9001-accredited manufacturing facility based in Townsville. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this hands-on role involves surface preparation, blasting and industrial coating of components to meet quality, safety and production standards. You'll work as part of a supportive workshop team in a structured environment with consistent workflows and a strong focus on quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate both abrasive blasting and coating equipment in Imatech's workshop or on site as required
* Performing quality inspections to ensure customer specifications are met
* Complete and fill out all required QA Documentation to company requirement
* Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
* Read gauges and charts, and record data obtained
* Mix resins according to specified procedures and formulas
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial painting and blasting (desirable)
* Cert III Blasting and Painting (desirable)
* Ability to travel regularly required
* Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
* Strong commitment to delivering high quality work to meet customer requirements
* Commitment to meet all company and client WHS responsibilities
* Display a positive and enthusiastic work ethic, be a proactive team member, pitch in and get the job done
