About the role
As a Draftsperson - Designer at Relocatables Australia, you will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for the manufacturing of relocatable worksite infrastructure. This is a casual role with hybrid work conditions, based out of our Bibra Lake office, Western Australia location.
What you'll be doing
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) drawings for relocatable building and structure components
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to translate customer requirements into accurate design solutions
- Ensure all design work adheres to relevant building codes, industry standards and company specifications
- Prepare detailed fabrication and installation documentation to support production
- Provide technical support and advice to the sales and customer service teams
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design software, tools and industry best practices
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in drafting, design or a related technical field
- Minimum 1-2 years of drafting experience in a professional environment
- Demonstrated experience in 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes and industry regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate design work
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills to translate design requirements into feasible solutions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must have current Australian work rights and be eligible to work in Australia
