We are seeking suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialists with previous Breast Care Nursing experience to work within the Cancer Services team at Northam or Narrogin as a Clinical Nurse Specialist- McGrath Foundation this is an important role supporting individuals and families through their breast-cancer journey, providing expert and compassionate care.

We currently have two positions available, /fortnight (0.40FTE) and /fortnight (0.60FTE). These are Fixed Term positions to 30/06/2026 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

About The OPPORTUNITY

The objective of the Breast Care Nurse position, funded by the McGrath Foundation under the Breast Cancer Nurses Initiative is to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to clients diagnosed with breast cancer across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities Include
* Act as a Breast Cancer resource person for staff and patients and their significant others throughout the region
* Provides clinical breast cancer nursing knowledge and case management within the WACHS region.
* Demonstrates leadership and role modelling.
* Promotes maintenance of clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development and change management as required to improve the breast cancer patient's management.

This role assists in the delivery of safe patient centred care and the consumer's experience by ensuring services and practices align with the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other recognised health standards.

To be successful in this role, you will have...
* Experience in working effectively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary health care team and independently.
* Leadership experience and clinical/professional knowledge in the provision of breast cancer nursing care.
* High level interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
* Well‐developed analytical and problem solving skills.
* High level of organisational and time management skills.
* Extensive knowledge and application of quality improvement, research and best practice principles.
* Eligible for/or in possession of a current C or C‐A Class drivers licence.
