The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced and strategic State Sales Manager to lead our sales team for the Visy Board business in Western Australia. Based in Perth and reporting to the General Manager – Visy Board WA, this role manages approximately six direct reports to drive profitable sales growth and deliver outstanding customer service.
This senior leadership role involves shaping the commercial direction of our WA fibre packaging operations, developing long-term customer partnerships, and promoting safety, continuous improvement, and a high-performance sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the WA Sales Team, ensuring safety, engagement, and alignment with Visy values.
* Develop and implement strategies to drive profitable sales growth across Western Australia.
* Maintain and enhance key customer relationships, ensuring product and service excellence.
* Negotiate commercial agreements that benefit both Visy and our customers.
* Provide accurate reporting, sales forecasts, and performance metrics.
* Ensure accountability for customer engagement, contract renewals, inventory management, and non-conformance issues.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within sales processes and customer service.
* Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Design, Logistics, and National Sales teams.
* Foster talent development, succession planning, and team wellbeing.
What You Will Bring
* Proven sales management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial B2B environment.
* Leadership skills with a history of developing high-performing teams.
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* A customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and build long-term partnerships.
* Experience or familiarity with the packaging or FMCG industry is desirable.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
* Valid driver's license.
