Your opportunity:
* Provide expert Psychiatric care assessment and management of patients with an intellectual disability or on the autism spectrum.
* This role will predominantly be a Consultation Liaison role to community and inpatient teams and may also include a small cohort of direct patient care, as part of an Intellectual and Developmental Disability team.
* Provide professional leadership in the area of Mental Health within a multidisciplinary environment.
Opportunity for Private Practice:
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
* Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
* Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
* Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.
