About The Position The Category Manager - Asset & Capability is a newly created role that reflects the growth and positive changes the procurement team are bringing to Snowy Hydro. You will join a great team and bring your experience in creating new procurement processes and systems alongside a background in assets and a strong knowledge of category management and all facets relating to a challenging and strategic position. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end development, implementation and continuous improvement of category strategies for asset investments and capital spend.Conduct analysis, forecasting and assessments to identify opportunities for value creation and cost reductionOversee the entire source to manage lifecycle for capital spend and asset investmentsIdentify key strategic suppliersLiaise with internal and external stakeholders from Exec to Engineer.Gain by-in for sourcing initiatives About the location This role can be based out of Sydney, Melbourne or Cooma and has intermittent travel. About You Significant Category Management experience, or an ability to bring your existing skills into the roleStrong communication skills, both in person and presenting to groupsDemonstrated experience in process improvement and implementationYou’re passionate and motivated to make a difference and a changeAn ability to influence at all levelsStrong analytical capabilities to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions.
