Role Overview
The Teacher Librarian will work part‐time (3 days per week, 0.6FTE) in Narrandera Public School, supporting literacy, learning and information access for students, with a focus on supporting Aboriginal students and students with additional learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement creative and flexible teaching and learning approaches.
* Implement high-quality teaching and learning programs with a focus on supporting Aboriginal students and students with additional learning requirements.
* Work collaboratively with students, staff and the school community to build positive relationships.
Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Infants & Primary Library or currently undertaking or enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Unconditional full approval to teach required. If you do not hold a full approval, you must commence the application process at the time of applying.
* Demonstrated capacity to implement creative and flexible approaches to teaching and learning.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to implement quality teaching and learning programs focusing on supporting Aboriginal students and those with additional learning requirements.
Conditions
* Engagement will be temporary until completion of Teacher Librarian qualifications recognised by the NSW Department of Education within 24 months.
* Applicants must include WWCC clearance number.
