What's the gig?
Working onsite and reporting to our Operations Supervisor (Laundry/Costumes), you will create and alter costumes, uniforms, curtains, linen and more – including our iconic character costumes. It's hands‐on, detail‐oriented work that helps keep the Dreamworld magic alive for over a million guests a year.
Responsibilities
* Monitor stock levels and help with ordering materials
* Assist with costume repairs, laundering, and distribution
* Maintain sewing equipment and work safely with chemicals as required
* Help drive continuous improvement and share daily updates with the team
Part‐time roles guarantee a minimum of 12 hours a week and require flexibility to work rostered shifts between 5:00am and 6:00pm, including weekends.
Qualifications
Ideally you have a qualification in pattern making and around five years' experience in sewing, pattern making and costume work. If you have less experience but talent as a machinist (sewing, garment repairs and alterations) we still want to hear from you. You will need strong attention to detail, a calm approach under pressure, and a current QLD driver's licence, as you may need to use a company vehicle occasionally.
Benefits
* Free entry to all our parks
* Discounts on food, retail and more
* Free onsite parking and uniform provided
* Access to Perkbox with hundreds of dollars in savings on everyday purchases
