Opportunities for Registered Nurses at Lara
GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public Prisons across Victoria. Nurses employed by GEO Healthcare deliver high-quality patient care to men in Victoria's public prisons, providing evidenced-based, comprehensive nursing care within a prison setting.
About the roles
Opportunities exist for casual and permanent roles at Lara. Nurses will be employed under the terms of an Enterprise Agreement, including:
Registered Nurse salary range $74,481 - $102,248 (based on full-time) and $44 - $61 per hour for casual staff
Annual increments to salary for Enrolled and Registered nurses
Competitive shift and weekend allowances
Generous annual leave, long service leave and continuing professional development leave

Skills and Experience
Clinical nursing skills
Team work oriented
The ideal candidate will have
Appropriate nursing qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Current Immunisation Certificate
Minimum one year of post-registration clinical experience
Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision
Ability to plan and coordinate patient care
Competence in clinical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to contribute to professional practice within the health facility
Competence in written and verbal communication; basic computer literacy
Clinical experience in primary health care is desirable
Other requirements
Ability to work within a prison setting with direct contact to people in prison
Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Working outside ordinary business hours may be required
Hold an immunisation provider certificate or be willing to obtain certification
