About the role
We're seeking a friendly, organised and motivated candidate to join our team. Depending on your experience and our practice needs, the role may be Dental Receptionist, Dental Assistant, or a dual role that combines both. If you're unsure which area suits you best, apply anyway and we'll work out the right fit at interview.
No dental experience is required. If you've worked in customer service, hospitality, retail or aged care, we'd love to hear from you. Existing dental experience (Cert III in Dental Assisting, prior dental or medical reception) is welcome too.
Minimum requirements include a valid Australian driver's licence and valid right to work in Australia
Hours and availability
A full-time role is nine shifts per fortnight across our Yass and Murrumbateman practices, generally eight weekdays (8:00am to 5:15pm) and one Saturday half-day. We're open to part-time and casual arrangements depending on the role, your fit and our practice needs.
What you'll do
You will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our patients while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations.
As a Dental Receptionist, you'll:
* Greet patients and make them feel welcome
* Answer calls and manage the appointment schedule
* Process payments and handle HICAPS
* Maintain patient records and follow-ups
* Keep the front of house running smoothly
As a Dental Assistant, you'll:
* Assist the dental clinician during treatment
* Take x-rays and clinical photos (training provided)
* Sterilise instruments and prepare treatment rooms
* Help patients feel comfortable during procedures
* Support the clinical team day to day
In a dual role, you'll do a mix of both.
