Job Overview
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing heavy military vehicles. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light, medium, and heavy vehicles.
About the Role
* Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications.
* Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
* Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
* Carry out minor body repairs and trim repairs.
* Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
* Inspect vehicles and issue road-worthiness certificates.
* Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level.
* Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair, and maintain light, medium, and heavy vehicles.
* Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License.
* Australian citizenship and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
