Position OverviewThe SEO Strategist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies that drive measurable growth in organic traffic, rankings, and revenue for our clients.
This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices across technical, on-page, and off-page disciplines, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights.
The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, strong foundational knowledge, and expertise in at least one specialized area such as technical SEO, content strategy, or analytics.
Key ResponsibilitiesSEO Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement tailored SEO strategies aligned with client goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SEO is integrated into overall marketing plans.
Stay ahead of industry changes, algorithm updates, and emerging trends.
Technical SEO
Conduct technical site audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexing, performance, and mobile optimization issues.
Implement structured data/schema markup to enhance SERP visibility.
Optimize site architecture, internal linking, and URL structures for search performance.
On-Page Optimization
Optimize meta tags, headings, content, and images for target keywords and search intent.
Partner with content teams to develop SEO-friendly copy and landing pages.
Off-Page SEO & Link Acquisition
Develop link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
Identify partnership and PR opportunities to earn high-quality backlinks.
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
Provide clients with clear, actionable reporting and recommendations.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with account strategists, project managers, and creative teams to ensure alignment.
Present SEO strategies, findings, and results to clients and internal stakeholders.
QualificationsRequired:
2–5 years of professional SEO experience, preferably in an agency or eCommerce environment.
Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry best practices.
Proficiency with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, etc.).
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and basic HTML/CSS.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred:
Expertise in one or more specialty areas (technical SEO, content marketing, local SEO, analytics).
Experience with Shopify, WordPress, and BigCommerce.
Familiarity with CRO principles and best practices.
