INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT - INNER NORTHERN BRISBANE SUBURB - MULTI-OFFICE FIRM (Job ID 827)

The firm provides tax, accounting, advisory, audit and financial planning services to a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs, family groups, Agri businesses and larger corporate entities. Their inner-north Brisbane office offers convenient access to bus, train and Gateway arterial links, while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The Role:
* Work closely with Senior Accountants and Managers to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services
* Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
* Preparing BAS and assisting with GST matters
* Supporting tax planning and business advisory engagements
* Liaising with clients via phone and email
* Assisting with client relationship management
* Continuing to build your technical knowledge and professional capability
About You:
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business
* Have 2-3+ years' experience in Australian public practice
* Have hands-on experience with companies, trusts and individual clients
* Possess a solid understanding of tax compliance obligations
* Be studying towards (or intending to commence) CA or CPA
* Be proficient in Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
* Thrive in a team-focused environment
* Exposure to QBCC matters will be advantageous but is not essential.
