Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Perform deal processing functions and cost accounting activities
* Allocate funds and manage receivables accurately and efficiently
* Reconcile manufacturer factory statements in line with company procedures
* Prepare and post general journal entries
* Conduct extensive balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
* Assist with the preparation and requirements for external audits
* Complete manufacturer-specific financial reporting within required timeframes
* Provide day-to-day support to the Accountant
* Contribute to finance-related projects as directed by the Financial Controller
* Maintain effective communication with Group Managers and employees across various departments within the business
About You
The company is looking for:
* An experienced Assistant Accountant or Graduate Accountant, ideally with a background in the automotive industry or a fast-paced retail environment
* Currently studying towards a degree in Accounting or Finance or recent graduate
* Automotive dealership experience is highly desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
