Waterpark Handyman Role
The Waterpark Handyman plays a vital role in maintaining the upkeep and presentation of park infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on basic building and infrastructure repairs, including concrete patching, timber fixes, surface painting, and support for broader maintenance activities.
* Perform general handyman tasks across the park including:
* Patching and repairing concrete paths, walls, stairs, and foundations
* Painting of surfaces across guest, staff, and operations areas
* Repair of timber fixtures including fences, railings, benches, and shade structures
* Minor repair of gates, signs, cladding, and external building features
* Fixing loose or damaged components in guest and staff areas
* Carry out routine inspections and respond promptly to maintenance issues
* Identify and report faults or hazards to the Maintenance Team Leader
* Undertake assigned corrective and preventive maintenance tasks
* Assist with general carpentry, paving, minor brickwork, and park infrastructure touch-ups
* Maintain accurate records and logs of completed works and inspections
Requirements
Essential
* No formal qualifications required; practical experience essential
Desirable
* Manual Handling Training
* White card
* Confined space training
* Working at Heights training
* Manual Drivers Licence
* Forklift licence
Languages: Fluent English
Skills:
* Practical experience in handyman, facility, or building maintenance roles
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
* Basic repair skills across painting, timber, concrete, and fixtures
* Ability to follow job sheets and maintenance schedules
* Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Professional attitude and commitment to safety standards
Experience:
* Experience in outdoor or site-based maintenance roles
* Comfortable working in all weather conditions
* Experience in theme parks, large facilities, resorts or commercial venues advantageous
