About the Role:
This Associate position is available on a temporary to permanent basis. You will work directly with two highly regarded partners on significant antitrust matters, many involving major Australian and global companies. The practice is growing quickly and is already engaged on some of the most high‑profile merger, regulatory and competition matters in the market.
This role will see you:
- Advising on complex merger clearance issues
- Assisting on antitrust investigations and litigation
- Supporting clients with compliance programs, training and regulatory engagement
- Contributing to strategic advice across competition law and adjacent regulatory areas
You will have genuine opportunities to build client relationships, shape the growth of the practice and play a meaningful role in business development.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 2–5 years' experience in competition/antitrust at a top‑tier or similarly high‑calibre firm
- Admission in Australia or another common law jurisdiction - sponsorship available
- Strong experience in merger clearance matters
- Exposure to competition litigation
- Experience in compliance advisory work, including training and developing procedures
- An interest in business development, including participation in industry bodies such as the Law Council of Australia or the International Bar Association
