About the Role:
As Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll while providing exceptional service to our internal stakeholders. This role is all about building trusted relationships across departments, working closely with HR, Finance, and leaders to ensure smooth, compliant, and customer-focused payroll operations.

**This is a Full Time opportunity with 0.8 FTE available for the right candidate.
Your Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepare and complete the fortnightly and monthly payroll, including job costing and payment of overtime and allowances recorded in timesheets in accordance with Airport Employees Award.
* Maintain and update the payroll system, including testing and
implementing changes as required.
* Process payroll deductions, PAYG, ReturnTo WorkSA, and Payroll Tax
returns in compliance with deadlines.
* Maintain and reconcile superannuation contributions for all employees.
* Ensure appropriate record-keeping including employee leave records,
salary history in line with National Privacy Legislations.
* Calculate entitlement and termination payments as requested.
* Liaise with employees and management on payroll-related queries,
ensuring high levels of customer service.
* Provide input to project and process improvement teams to streamline
and automate payroll processes, including the implementation of new
systems for timesheeting, rostering, and job costing.
* Processing of end of month payroll related journals and accruals in
accordance with end of month timelines
* Reconciliation of payroll related balance sheet and profit and loss
accounts
* Ensure the security and confidentiality of payroll data, adhering to data protection regulations and company policies.
About you:
* 5+ years' of end to end payroll experience
* Knowledge of Sage and Micropay payroll systems (desirable)
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Good interpersonal manner and effective communication
* Good "empathy" for internal customers – whilst maintaining requirement to follow procedures.
* Time management skills essential in order to meet deadlines.
