Join our organization as an Archivist to support the preservation and accessibility of a rich archival heritage.
1. Archival Management and Preservation:
* Execute the full range of archival functions, including appraising, arranging, describing, and rehousing collections of enduring historic value.
* Maintain a safe physical environment and ensure the long-term viability and usefulness of the archives collection through proactive care and conservation.
2. Information Access and Compliance:
* Support the delivery of a range of information services to internal and external clients.
* Ensure all access and service provision complies with established policies and relevant legislation.
3. Continuous Improvement and Process Development:
* Actively contribute ideas towards the continuous improvement of the archives' systems, processes, procedures, policies, and work practices.
Please note that this is primarily an on-campus role. General duties involve moving large items and pushing loaded trolleys. Repetitive tasks include lifting, reaching, and squatting with long periods of standing and walking.
