Cornerstone Medical Recruitment has multiple opportunities for ED and Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses across regional hospitals in Atherton, Innisfail, Mareeba, Mossman, Tully, Babinda, and surrounding areas.

These roles offer diverse clinical exposure, supportive teams, and flexible contracts ranging from 4 to 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver comprehensive nursing care in Emergency or Medical/Surgical wards
* Conduct patient assessments, triage, and manage acute presentations
* Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor patient progress
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation using iEMR systems
* Support junior staff and assist with patient flow
* Respond to emergencies, including resuscitation and acute deterioration, following hospital protocols

* Atherton Hospital - 30-bed acute medical/surgical ward with a vibrant ED; located in the Atherton Tablelands, close to waterfalls, rainforest trails, and local markets.
* Innisfail Hospital - Provides acute, emergency, and MPS services; located near pristine beaches and lush tropical farmland.
* Mareeba Hospital - Offers emergency and acute care to the Tablelands community; known for supportive teams and relaxed regional lifestyle.

Mandatory Requirements:

* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* iEMR training completed prior to contract commencement (essential)
* Current ALS certification and triage competency
* Proven experience in ED or acute care settings
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
* Strong clinical skills with a patient-centred approach
