Job Title: Support Worker - Cleaning
About The Role:
The successful applicant will support the delivery of a safe and clean-living environment for residents and work environment for staff in alignment with appropriate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Routine and project cleaning tasks according to established cleaning schedules.
* Cleaning tasks include mopping and vacuuming floors, carpet cleaning, damp dusting, cobweb removal, window cleaning, waste management, restocking of supplies, collection of soiled linen and clothing as required.
* Undertakes daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks as per homes cleaning schedules and documents completion of the scheduled tasks as required.
* Operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaning machines, steam cleaners and hard floor scrubbers.
* Ensures ample supplies of clean linen, towels, and laundry skip bags are consistently stocked in designated storage areas within the home.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with experience in cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, damp dusting, window and high cleaning. Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling is desirable.
A completion of cleaning tasks according to infection control and occupational health and safety requirements including the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals is essential.
You should also have effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and commitment to continuous quality improvement are also highly regarded.
Experience in Aged Care is desirable.
