Experienced cardiac sonographers perform echocardiograms, including TTE, transesophageal, stress, 3D, Doppler, and Strain imaging in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities include making independent clinical assessments and judgments, assessing and resolving scanning, technical, and patient care issues professionally, collaborating and communicating effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals, and providing high-quality echocardiogram examinations routinely.
Additional responsibilities may include operating and calibrating equipment, lifting and transporting patients and equipment, prioritizing work independently and resolving problems effectively, remaining calm and effective in emergencies, working well as part of a team, and understanding and respecting patient needs for dignity and self-respect.
Requirements
* Completion of an accredited Sonography program or one year of full-time cardiac echocardiography experience.
* Registered in the field (RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, RDCS).
* Basic Life Support certification.
