We are seeking an experienced and driven State Sales Manager to lead and grow Avant compact loader sales across Queensland. This is a senior role responsible for developing the dealer network, driving new business, managing key accounts, and strengthening Avant's presence in key sectors including arboriculture, landscaping, construction, agriculture, and property maintenance.
This role suits a commercially minded sales leader who understands machinery sales, thrives on building relationships, and enjoys being out in the field with customers and dealers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
* Develop and execute a Queensland sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets
* Drive new business opportunities across priority industries
* Identify and develop new dealer and distribution opportunities
* Manage key customer accounts and major fleet opportunities
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
Customer Engagement
* Attend field demos, trade days, industry events, and field days
* Provide technical product knowledge and solution based selling to customers
* Handle high value negotiations and close major deals
* Maintain strong after sales relationships to encourage repeat business
Reporting & Administration
* Maintain accurate CRM records
* Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports
* Work closely with marketing and operations to align campaigns and stock planning
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in machinery, equipment, automotive, or industrial sales
* Works well in a small team from across the country
* Strong understanding of dealer networks and B2B sales
* Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships and close high value deals
* Self-motivated with excellent time management
* Confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone
* Willingness to travel extensively throughout Queensland
* CRM experience and strong reporting discipline
* Current driver's license
Experience in compact equipment, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, or arbor equipment will be highly regarded.
