Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Information Architecture and Data Governance Professional to spearhead a critical business transformation for our client. This senior role is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic expert in Microsoft collaboration and security platforms to take full ownership of a large-scale information governance reset. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's information landscape, consulting directly with Security and IT Executives to mitigate risk while ensuring user collaboration remains seamless and efficient. If you are ready to lead a significant change initiative and make a lasting impact, this is the role for you.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for a complete overhaul of our client's SharePoint and Network Attached Storage information governance framework. This will involve designing and implementing a robust information architecture, leading the rollout of Information Rights Management, and producing high-quality technical documentation, including design documents, as-built guides, and test plans. A key aspect of this position will be leveraging your deep expertise in the M365 security and compliance suite to implement and optimise Microsoft Purview capabilities, thereby enhancing data protection across the enterprise.

Qualifications

* Microsoft 365 Platforms: A deep and extensive knowledge of Microsoft's collaboration and security platforms is essential. This includes:
o SharePoint & Microsoft Teams: Minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level experience in designing, implementing, and governing these platforms. This involves understanding their architecture, features, and how they integrate.
o Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance: Demonstrated, hands-on experience with the M365 security and compliance suite is required. This involves understanding and implementing security controls to protect data.
o Microsoft Purview: Specific experience in designing and implementing capabilities within Microsoft Purview is a mandatory requirement. This includes data classification, retention policies, and data loss prevention (DLP).
o Information Rights Management (IRM): Proven experience in designing and implementing IRM solutions to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access and use.
* Information Architecture & Data Governance: At least 10 years of enterprise experience is required in these core areas. The candidate must be able to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for a complete governance reset of large, complex information systems (specifically SharePoint and NAS).
* Senior Stakeholder Consultation: The ability to confidently lead and clearly consult with senior executives in both IT and Security is a critical requirement. This involves translating complex technical concepts into business risks and strategic recommendations.
* Risk Mitigation: A key function of the role is to advise on mitigating information-related risks while ensuring that security measures do not unnecessarily hinder user productivity and collaboration.
* Technical Documentation: The candidate must have demonstrated experience in producing a range of high-quality technical documents. This includes high-level and detailed design documents, "as-built" documentation (which records the final state of the implementation), and comprehensive test plans.
* Clear Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior, non-technical leadership is implied throughout the role's requirements.
