About the OPPORTUNITY We have a great opportunity for a Senior Application Developer to join our Hunter Class Program based in Adelaide, SA, reporting to the Web Applications Lead.
We embrace flexible work arrangements, such as a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.
This role can also be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, or Perth.
As an Application Developer, you will assist in the technical lifecycle of systems developed within the IT environment, which may relate to new capability development, software applications, or infrastructure services managed to provide cost-effective solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Experience with error management and debugging using SQL/Developer, and web services consumption using APEX declarative framework.Create database applications for desktop and mobile interfaces, adding components like pages, reports, regions, and items to enhance applications.Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, and developing database objects such as Triggers, Stored Procedures, Functions, Sequences, Views.Work with IM&T and the Hunter Class Frigate programme team across multiple time zones, adopting flexible working hours to maintain work-life balance.
Be prepared for early morning UK meetings and evening AU meetings.Handle pressure and meet deadlines in a multiyear programme with strict timelines, maintaining quality and managing competing priorities.Provide solutions in an evolving environment, working with uncertainty, managing risks, and remaining outcome-focused.About YOU Experience in customer-facing roles such as helpdesk or consulting is desirable.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Defense security clearance or eligibility to obtain Baseline Clearance.We encourage candidates who meet most but not all criteria to apply, as we hire for potential.
