Your Role
As a Civil Maintenance Worker, you will primarily include construction and maintenance servicing of roads, footpaths and drainage systems as well as provision of a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers. In performing these the occupant operates basic plant and equipment whilst representing the City in a positive manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance of footpaths, crossovers, roads, cycleways, retaining walls and drainage systems which will include the lifting and relaying of pavers and precast kerbs, pipes, temporary asphalt patching, minor retaining wall repairs as well as maintenance to the city’s drainage network;
* Performing accurate concreting work that requires knowledge of material mixtures, mixing to given proportions and exposed aggregate finishes;
* Use and care for hand tools and operate basic items such as brick saws, compactors, jack hammers and cement mixers; and
* Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.
