About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced leader to coordinate our Water Quality and Process functions within a dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the quality, sustainability and performance of drinking water, wastewater and recycled water systems.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a high-performing team responsible for water quality and treatment process performance.
* Oversee monitoring programs to ensure compliance with licence conditions, regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
* Act as the primary liaison with key regulators, providing expert advice and incident management guidance.
* Apply a risk-based approach to minimise risks to drinking water, treated effluent and biosolids.
* Support strategy development focused on long-term sustainability, source management and quality improvement.
* Provide technical expertise in energy management, procurement, environmental protection and operational problem-solving.
Requirements:
* A degree in Process, Chemical, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in process or environmental management—ideally within the water industry.
* A strong understanding of treatment processes, quality systems, and the regulated water environment.
* Proven capability in leading people, fostering performance, and navigating change.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate positive outcomes.
* Confidence undertaking field work when required and responding effectively to operational or environmental incidents.
