Ecommerce & Marketplace Manager

Altair Recruitment is partnering with Toshi, a design-led Australian lifestyle brand specialising in the children's and baby category: accessories, sun protection, designer babywear and organic cotton gifts. With over 650 stockists across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally, Toshi has become an iconic homegrown brand. All design, distribution, and operations are led from their Melbourne head office, where creativity, functionality, and care for the environment remain at the heart of everything they do. Toshi is also proud to support Australian wildlife conservation through its ongoing partnership with WIRES.

The brand is now scaling and expanding its digital presence, from a strong D2C foundation on Shopify into local and global marketplaces. We're seeking a commercially minded Ecommerce & Marketplace Manager to set and execute the strategy and lead the next stage of expansion.

In this role, you'll take full ownership of D2C performance and marketplace operations, from shaping the growth roadmap to optimising channels, integrations, loyalty programs, and reporting. You'll collaborate closely with an established team, building on solid foundations to drive innovation, scalability, and long-term commercial impact.


What you will be doing

* Lead the strategy and collaborate on the execution of D2C and B2B sales growth via Shopify, SEO, UX, loyalty, and conversion optimisation
* Own marketplace performance - identifying new channel opportunities, optimising listings, and managing integrations
* Develop and implement data-led growth initiatives based on customer insights and market trends
* Identify and test new technologies, automation tools, and marketplace integrations to drive efficiency
* Collaborate in the commercial management of the Zoho inventory system
* Drive Klaviyo campaigns via analysis and segmentation
* Collaborate in the development of a Loyalty, Reviews and UGC programme
* Optimise paid media performance across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads & Google Shopping, combining agency partnerships with internal management
* Monitor KPIs, prepare strategic performance reports, and present actionable recommendations
* Stay ahead of ecommerce trends and identify new growth opportunities


What we're looking for

* At least 5+ years of experience in ecommerce and digital retail
* Demonstrated success in scaling a brand, with ownership of ecommerce strategy and execution
* Experience managing marketplaces and understanding their commercial levers
* Strong Shopify expertise: including optimisations, integrations, SEO, and Google Shopping
* Innovative and wholistic thinker who utilises ecommerce and digital retail trends for commercial growth
* Passion for AB testing with a successful record
* Strong reporting and analytical skills – you know how to back your ideas with data to drive growth. You're competent with analytics tools like GA4 and Hotjar
* Strong understanding of CRM, loyalty strategies and Klaviyo
* Ability to take a big-picture commercial view while rolling up your sleeves to execute
* Experience with and passion for leveraging AI tools to automate and improve processes


Bonus if you have

* Hands-on experience setting up and managing Meta and Google Ads campaigns
* Background in fashion, gifting, lifestyle, or baby/children's product categories
* Familiarity with Asian ecommerce markets and consumer behaviour
* Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin
* Potential for hybrid arrangement
