Description: As Senior Communications Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public image and community engagement strategy for a significant transport infrastructure project. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans, overseeing stakeholder engagement initiatives, and maintaining a positive relationship between the project and the public. Your expertise will guide the strategic direction of communications and ensure effective dissemination of information to various audiences. Mandatory requirements: • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a communications and community engagement role, preferably within infrastructure, construction, or government sectors. • International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) Certification, or a willingness to obtain certification independently. Desirable requirements: • A current Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence • While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable. • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful communication and engagement strategies. • Exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience managing stakeholders at all levels. • Understanding of Infrastructure Sustainability Council or Australia framework and how it applies to infrastructure projects.
