**About the Opportunity**
Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for a Trauma & Acute Surgery Education and Training Manager to enhance the current Division of Surgery Management Unit.
**What You'll be Doing**
The purpose of the TACS (Trauma and Acute Surgery) Education and Training Manager is to provide key support in the management of all Educational and Training programs and events led by the TACS. The role is responsible for the management of all educational and training programs, including but not limited to financial budgeting, delegate management, content production, programming, marketing, administration, venue management, and certification and credentialing. This position supports the TACS Director and Deputy Director as well as Nursing CNCs across Liverpool and the District in leading, coordinating and organizing education and training programs specific to trauma management and emergency general surgical care.
**Where You'll Be Working**
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation.
The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.
Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.
**How to Apply**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Education and Training or other relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent or experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience in the management of educational activities including development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of education and training programs
- Demonstrated high level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, such as negotiation and report writing applicable in both a research and administrative context.
- Experience in financial management and budget planning of conferences, courses and events
- Strong administrative management skills and well-developed organisational skills and experience in Conference, Course, Event and Project management
- Sound organisational skills, the ability to successfully prioritise and manage competing issues and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills including ability to work in a rapid paced environment.
