CASPA SERVICES LTD - POSITION VACANCY – Occupational Therapist - Far North NSW
ABOUT THE ROLE
CASPA is seeking an experienced, passionate Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Allied Health Team. This is a unique opportunity to work across NDIS and Fee for Service programs, delivering high-quality therapy and contributing to the ongoing development of CASPA’s integrated, trauma-informed practice model.
This role is being offered at part-time (3 days per week) based in CASPAs Lismore office and will include travel on an as needed basis across Northern NSW. This role will operate for an initial 6 month period with opportunity to extend pending needs of the program.
CASPA supports flexible work arrangements where possible, this hybrid role provides opportunity to work from home one day per week.
A high level of cultural competency is extremely important for these roles, prior experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)
* Deliver evidence-based OT services across NDIS and Fee for Service team for clients across the lifespan
* Conduct Functional Capacity Assessments, sensory assessments and participation-focused interventions
* Develop high-quality NDIS reports, including recommendations for funding and assistive technology
* Work collaboratively with an expanding team of occupational therapists, psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and social workers
* Contribute to service development, group programs and innovative therapeutic initiatives
This position offers excellent professional autonomy, strong multidisciplinary clinical support and the opportunity to shape and contribute to a growing service.
Selection criteria
* Current AHPRA registration
* Experience in paediatrics, disability, trauma or complex psychosocial presentations
* Strong skills in assessment, report writing and functional intervention planning
* Enjoys working within multidisciplinary teams
* Alignment with trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and strengths-based practice
* Experience in NDIS and community-based practice will be highly regarded
