**A bit about the role**:
The Technical Insight Analyst role will develop a deep understanding of retail and the
specific challenges we are addressing for our customers, from their data, through solution
options to alignment to business processes and colleague execution. Your knowledge,
delivery, derive systemic insight and improve products, to ensure customer value is delivered
and successful renewals achieved.

The Technical Insight Analyst role will join our existing Analyst team and will work closely
with operational counterparts in Customer Relationship Management, Engineering and
DevOps.

This role will be working with our customers to transform how food gets marked down, but also helping them identify further ways to change the way they operate their business through data.
- Support the client by being the expert on the customer's data and the output of our products
(SLA, accuracy, parameters, value) to ensure the clients expectations are met and where
possible exceeded.
- Address customer queries directly and, if required, work closely with the Insight Manager,
Engineering or Decision Science teams to understand root cause and respond effectively,
accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide proactive insights on performance KPIs and timely communication to the client
- Leverage knowledge of data and products to derive valuable insight for the customer and continuously demonstrate value of our products (and ways to improve our value from
product/service enhancement)
- Support the Insight Manager and Relationship Manager(s) in delivery of client requirements
for proactive, tactical and ad-hoc analysis, and product / service development opportunities
- Ensure client issues are resolved quickly and the root cause is identified and managed in line
with company policy and procedures
- Liaise with the software development teams for software changes in a timely manner
- Ensure alert accuracy meets the agreed SLA, through analysis of available data and the
refinement of available parameters, including in-store visits
- Continuously improve the quality, timeliness and value of our insights in line with company
policy and procedures
- Perform data analysis and profiling to review data quality, and ensure data issues are logged
in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain business, functional, process and system requirement documents in
line with company policy and procedures
- Write solution design, bug, feature request and process documentation in line with company
policy and procedures

**Your knowledge, skills and competencies**:

- You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex
problems in simple, relatable language.
- With experience in SQL, MS Excel and similar data tools to an advanced level, working with
large, complex datasets is second nature to you
- Experience or willingness to learn data programming languages (e.g. R, Python) will enable
you to work closely with our Data Engineers to help design solutions and solve problems.
- Knowledge of retail operations processes and procedures a plus
- Capable of managing multiple requests in a calm and professional manner
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with trouble shooting ability

**About your previous experience**:

- Previous experience in an analytical role, providing demonstrable value and commercial
impact
- Strong analytical background with at least a bachelor's degree required; a bachelor's degree
in Mathematics, Science or Engineering or a master's degree is a plus
- Knowledge of Data Visualisation software (e.g. Power BI) is desirable, but not essential
