About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join Forensicare at Western Plains Correctional Centre – Lara Precinct, following service growth and implementation of bail reform initiatives.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will:
provide high level consultation and advice on complex clinical and welfare matters
be responsible for ongoing development and planning of social work services and maintain a high standard of client care.
collaborate with key stakeholders and agencies in the development of policies and procedures.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you will have sound knowledge of legislation relevant to the target population, a demonstrated ability to provide high-level leadership, management and supervision of staff and students.
You will have demonstrated experience in delivering specialist social work services including clinical, primary, secondary and tertiary consultation within a complex and dynamic environment. And proven skills and experience in developing and implementing complex case plans involving direct and indirect social work practice.

What you will need:
Approved degree in Social Work.
Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
