In this role, you'll:
Work as part of the Network Maintenance Track Engineering team, in an important role that supports the achievement of the Track discipline and operational objectives. This includes technical advice and reporting, ensuring the technical integrity of track assets, and compliance to associated engineering standards.
As part of a team taking responsibility of a varied network within the region, you will provide administrative support to Territory Engineers including maintaining SharePoint sites, procurement, labor costing, logging incidents and level one advice into contract administration and management.
In addition to this, the role will see you provide information to assist in the preparation of the Annual Works Program (AWP), Major Periodic Maintenance (MPM) and Defect Management
This role is critical in supporting safety and reliability of train services (both passenger and freight). It deals with internal and external stakeholders, maintains documentation, creates and updates reports, attends site for verification checks, and more.
This is a permanent role based in Auburn NSW at the Clyde Network base, with some travel across the region from the inner west in Newtown up to Clyde. The usual hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime/weekend available during maintenance possession work.

About you
You are someone with extensive experience in a track maintenance environment or equivalent practical track maintenance experience within an operational engineering or heavy maintenance environment
In addition to the above, you have strong written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills, and relevant technical knowledge. This will include a sound computer proficiency and experience with MS Office Suite, and ideally SAP.
Also this role will see you having a current NSW Class C drivers licence and be comfortable driving a 4WD/UTE type of vehicle.
